The Luckiest
to my lucky charm,
I never believed in luck
Superstition was lost on me
Fate was something I never dabbled in
Karma never was my equalizer
The universe ran as it deemed fit
The most evidence of serendipity I'd ever found
Was in a cereal box
But even then there were never enough marshmallows
All that changed when you entered my part of this galaxy
So when I say
That despite my troubled past
My self destructive body
My failing organs
My fucked up brain
Every one of my many failures
Every unkind deed the universe has thrown at me
Despite
All of this
I am the luckiest
Because these things led me to you
I've never had a rabbit's foot
I've yet to find a four leaved clover
And I don't know what I did
For Karma to give you to me
But
My God
I am so glad that I did it
